Through the G. L. Barron Foundation, The Barron Companies have drilled over 15 wells in Mumbai, India providing more than 16,000 people with perpetual drinking water. The Foundation has also supported orphanages and schools in Mumbai, providing clothes, food, vehicles and education through New Life Medical Trust.

The G. L. Barron Endowed Scholarship created by the G. L. Barron Foundation benefits the students of The Goolsby Leadership Academy at The University of Texas at Arlington. The Goolsby Leadership Academy invigorates conventional learning with an approach based on leadership principles.
